Awards

Winners of the Pollux Awards: The Juror of the 21st Pollux Awards will select four Winners, two Photographers in the Professional Section (Series and Single Image) and two Photographer in the Non-Professional Section (Series and Single Image). 

Fully-paid Exhibition: The Gala Awards will organize an exhibition for each of the above-mentioned four Winners in the respective sections (Pro and Non-Pro) taking care of all exhibition expenses, including printing and framing of up to 20 photographs each. The exhibition will be held in the FotoNostrum Gallery in Barcelona in July 2025. A curator designated by The Worldwide Photography Gala Awards will assist the Winners in the selection of the work to be exhibited and will take care of the exhibition setup.

Gallery Representation: A non-exclusive consignation representation contract for 18 initial months with the gallery FotoNostrum will be offered to the four overall winners.

Exposure in Artsy and ArtEndipity: Represented artists will be exhibited online for sale in Artsy. Artsy attracts millions of unique visitors each month. Since 2018, is one of the top-ranking art marketplaces on Google with visitors from more than 160 countries. ArtEndipity

Collective exhibition of category winners and category honorable mentions: FotoNostrum and the Juror will also select winners and honorable mentions in all categories. All these selected photographers will be invited to exhibit in a collective exhibition in a space contiguous to the exhibition of the two overall winners. In the collective exhibition, the exhibition organization and venue costs will be borne by The Worldwide Photography Gala Awards. At the same time, the exhibitors will be charged for printing and framing as well as set up costs (hanging, labeling, and insurance) in the amount of $280, approximately, per piece. By participating in this award, artists acknowledge that they will be charged for the printing in case of participating in the exhibition and that for that purpose will have to submit high-resolution files of 300dpi suitable for fine art printing.

Images of all awardees (Winners and Honorable Mentions) will be featured in a special issue of FotoNostrum Magazine.

Eligibility

Only open to photographers worldwide, pro and amateur, working in all mediums, styles and schools of thought.
Age: > 13 yers old.


Specifications

File Type: jpg (tiff, png or any file other than jpg are not accepted)
Profile: sRGB or Adobe RGB
Resolution: 72 dpi (please no larger or smaller resolution)
Size: The dimension of the file should be no larger than 10 MB.

IMPORTANT: Before uploading your submission, please check that file size, resolution, and file type complies with the specifications. Please take into account that the upload can be rejected if you don't comply with the specifications.

EDIT: At any given time, your submission can be edited until the final deadline (such as change of title or even change of image submitted.

You can register and pay the entry fees with the discounted early bird offer and upload and edit your images at any given time until the final deadline.


Publishing in FotoNostrum Magazine

All images of the category winners will be published in a special issue FotoNostrum Magazine during 2024. https://fotonostrummag.com.

Copyright & Usage

COPYRIGHT:
All submitters warrant that they own the work submitted and that they have the exclusive copyright. The Gala Awards recognize that the author retains full ownership of the image copyright.

USAGE:
Submitters warrant that their photographs may be reproduced for the purpose of marketing and promoting The Gala Awards’ competitions and Awards, as well as in catalogues, posters, postcards, publications, and on the Internet. Such use is granted for no more than two years after the announcement of the works selected in this competition. Such use is granted without any payment to the photographer or featured models. Photographers will receive credit with each use and allow The Gala Awards to sublicense their photographs to the press for reproduction in connection with The Gala Awards’ competitions and awards.

The Gala Awards has the right to reject and remove any entry that contains defamatory, racist, obscene or pornographic content, or that may be considered a criminal offence or violate any law.

The Pollux Awards is addressed to professional and non-professional photographers worldwide, who will compete in this 16th edition in two different sections (Professional and Non-Professional) in the following categories:
